Patek Philippe Unveils the New Cubitus Collection
Greubel Forsey
Double Balancier Convexe Carbon
At The Second Hand Club, we are proud to present one of the most mechanically ambitious and visually dramatic watches in contemporary independent horology: the Greubel Forsey Double Balancier Convexe in carbon with a green dial.
Limited to just 22 pieces, this watch houses two inclined balance wheels arranged side by side at 30-degree angles, linked by a spherical differential that continuously averages their rates to cancel positional errors, a system that took Greubel Forsey nearly a decade to develop from prototype to production.
The 42.5 mm case is constructed from carbon composite with titanium components, giving the watch a striking matte black presence that is dramatically lighter than an equivalent precious metal case. The convex sapphire crystal, which gives the Convexe line its name, curves upward from the bezel, providing a domed, panoramic view of the exposed movement architecture and the deep green dial beneath.
At 100 metres of water resistance, with a 72-hour power reserve from a hand-wound movement, and produced in an edition of just 22 examples, the Double Balancier Convexe Carbon is Greubel Forsey's most wearable and contemporary expression of a complication that exists nowhere else in watchmaking. For collectors seeking a pre-owned Greubel Forsey Double Balancier Convexe Carbon for sale, this is a watch whose mechanical content, finishing standards, and extreme rarity place it among the most exclusive objects in haute horlogerie.
